Orange-y red light filters through the window, and I blink to avoid burning my retinas.
Morning chores, lessons, night chores.
I pour the last granules of feed into a container and top it off with a supplement. Once the lid is in place, I put it on top of the shelf.

I’m taking a week off to spend with him.
June 2-9th will be his time. I’m cleaning the house and spending time with my husband. There’s stuff to do and plenty of it.
The ponies have worked hard, too, and need a vacation.
Perhaps during my time off I can finish night chores by 8:30pm.
