Panic Attack

I finished feeding Melody, Savannah, Braz, and Misty, then prepared to bring the other horses inside.

A palomino horse was in a heap at the far end of the field.

I took off running, imagining the look on my best friend’s face as I told her something had happened to her horse. I screamed “Glory, Glory get up!” over and over as I ran across the pasture.

I ran to the horse, and she didn’t move. I bent down to see if she was ok.

That’s when Honey lifted her head and glared at me as if to say, “Why are you ruining my nap?”
