Keeps going, and going and going… Until it’s dead.

We knew the Toro tractor needed help. It’s so small, but it wouldn’t start frequently. The battery is dead. So now I have to enlist the help of somebody knowledgeable about batteries and engines to show me how to change it. Sounds like dangerous busniess. I’m hoping my best friend’s husband doesn’t mind helping me, perhaps.

Firefly Farm is now FREE  of barbed wire! Thanks to the efforts of Jessica and Raymond, I can make the temporary shelter area real. We’re going to have to build another shelter soon, so having the secondary pasture is invaluable. It will be wonderful to have TWO shelters in the back–one for each group/pasture of horses to go into during rough weather.

New boarders, new boarders! I’m filling up quickly. It’s exciting!  We’re getting another boarder on Sunday, and now we have enough “promised” boarders that we’re almost full. We’re getting plenty of lesson students, too.

The Girl Scout event yesterday went really well. The kids had fun touring the barn, and the adults seemed to appreciate the cleanliness and atmosphere. I’m grateful I can give the kids something for a price they can afford during this difficult time/recession. I know what I would have wanted as a child, and what I look for as an adult. I can only hope other people appreciate what I’m trying to create.
