Honey’s Blanket: a poem

My Honey needs a new blankie, the clothing that will keep her warm;

In cold mornings, I know how I shiver and huddle into a ball form.

The girl is still very young, and I’m not sure how much she will grow,

I’m worried, as three hundred dollars is needed to buy a Rambo.

Melody has such a blanket–it’s lasted six years and I swear,

She can try to rip it wide open, but the thick fabric simply won’t tear.

I’d love to find Honey something to match her sweet Horse-ality,

But as long as it fits and it stays on, I won’t mind the cash it costs me.
